Utah basketball coach Jim Boylen admits he is still learning about his team since the Utes have so many new faces this year. you can get a chance to learn a bit about the team too since the Utes are holding a practice open to the public tonight at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. Originally planned as a scrimmage, the session has been changed to more of a regular practice because Boylen feels the team has too many things to work on at this point to dedicate the session to just a scrimmage. However, each practice has featured a few scrimmage moments, something he feels is necessary to learn about the players. "We are trying to get tho know these guys and let them play," Boylen said. "We recruit them but we are still learning about them and they are learning the system here and how our defense is a priority and learning to respect each other and respect the program." Boylen said he is encouraged by what he has seen so far. "It's a hard-hat, lunch pail type team," he said. "The whole team has tendinitis, which could be perceived as a bad thing or a good thing. I see it as a good thing because it means a lot of guys are working hard in the gym. If you feel great every day in this business you probably are not working hard enough."
