• Food Network personality Alton Brown performs his live show, "Eat Your Science," tonight at Abravanel Hall, 123 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 5 and 8 p.m. Tickets, from $40 to $85, at ArtSaltLake.

• Death metal band So This Is Suffering performs tonight at The Loading Dock, 445 S. 400 West, Salt Lake City. Opening: Signs of the Swarm, Cries of the Captive, A Gentleman's War. Show starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $12, at Ticketfly.
