Anthony Denham, a 6-foot-6 receiver out of East Los Angeles Junior College, has narrowed his choices to three schools. The good news for the Utes is they are one of them. Denham said via email his final three are Utah, Cincinnati and Central Florida. Denham plans to announce his decision next Wednesday. Denham would be a big get for the Utes because he would bring experience to the program and because several other receivers the Utes have recruited heavily are staying firm with previous commitments. Larry Scott, a receiver out of Corona, Calif., is staying with Oregon State and Quinton Pedroza out of Chino, Calif., is firm with Arizona State, he told Scout.com. Earlier this week another receiver the Utes had hoped to land, B.J. Kelley, committed to Oregon. The other receiver high on Utah's list is Devin Lucien out of Encino, Calif., who the Utes hope Norm Chow can sway to Salt Lake City instead of UCLA. At other spots, the Utes are still very much in the picture for Michael Eubank, the quarterback out of Corona, Calif., who has committed to Arizona State but is still considering the Utes. The Utes are heavily recruiting three linemen, Akeem Gonzales out of Mission Hills, Calif., Mo Latu out of Gilbert, Ariz., and Andrew Peterson out of Seagoville, Texas. Peterson is said to be leaning toward Arkansas. Tight end Junior Pomee, the teammate of current commit Ryan Henderson, still has the Utes in mind, which is key since he and Henderson want to play together. USC is Utah's biggest competition for the two.
