Fredette starred for the Shanghai Sharks in China last season and earned Chinese Basketball Association International Most Valuable Player honors. He won the 3-point contest in the all-star game, a game in which he played.
Fredette led the CBA in scoring with a 37.6 average and added 8.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
For those who might need a reminder, Fredette played at BYU from 2007-11 and scored 2,599 points, which was the highest in school history at the time. The record has since been broken by Tyler Haws.
Fredette was the consensus national player of the year in 2011.
