Newport Television's CW affiliate in Salt Lake City is now part of the expanding group of stations carrying The Country Network. KUCW-TV will broadcast TCN on digital channel 30.2.

The Country Network (TCN) is a music video network dedicated to providing more choices in televised and digital programming. As a network, TCN is exclusively dedicated to airing country music video content with the broadcast model, "All Country Music, All the Time."

Noted Ken Reiner, VP of Programming for Newport Television, in a press release: "Embracing new niche content on our digital-tier is an opportunity to expand our company's growth strategy, and TCN's diverse blend of local and national country content fills that niche. We are very excited about offering a fresh new short-form music network to all of the country music enthusiasts across our markets." The Country Network began operations in October 2010 from headquarters on historic Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee. TCN has since rapidly become the nation's fastest growing new broadcast network with content available both over the air and on the majority of cable systems within its markets.

In addition, Newport Television's ABC affiliate in Salt Lake City is now part of the expanding group of stations carrying TheCOOLTV Network. KTVX-TV broadcasts COOLTV on digital channel 4.2.

Programming on KTVX 4.2 includes new and classic music videos and concert events.

In addition, themed blocks such as "80's at 8", "The Underground" and "Dance & Tonic" focus on particular styles. The complete programming guide for KTVX 4.2 is available at www.thecooltv.com.
