Police are unsure what happened to a man whose body was discovered Saturday morning in Weber County's Pineview Reservoir.

A boater spotted the body floating near the shore about 10:45 a.m., Weber County sheriff's Sgt. Matt Jensen said. A sheriff search-and-rescue team was already in the area on an unrelated assignment and was able to recover the body. The man appeared to be about 40 years old.

Investigators said there was no obvious signs of trauma. But Jensen said more details won't be known until an autopsy is conducted Sunday.
