Utah beer brewers earned seven medals —three gold, three silver and a bronze — at the 2011 Great American Beer Festival, held Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in Boulder, Colo.

The festival is the largest commercial beer competition in the world and this year included entries from 526 breweries from 48 states and the Puerto Rico.

Squatters Pub Brewery, Hoppers Grill and the Utah Brewers Cooperative each earned a gold medal, while Red Rock Brewing and Uintah Brewing earned silver medals. Epic Brewing Co. was the only double winner bringing home both a silver and a bronze. Here is a full list the winning Utah brewers and their respective beers and categories:

Utah Brewers Co-operative • Provo Girl, a Session beer.

Red Rock Brewing Co. • Redrock Nut Brown Ale, American-style brown ale

Epic Brewing Co. • Brainlesss on Peaches, fruit beer

Uinta Brewing Co. • Schwarzherz, awarded in the Pro-Am division in which a homebrewer's recipe is produced on a large scale by a commercial operation.

Epic Brewing Co. • Imperia IPA, Imperial India Pale Ale
