Sammy's Cafe recently opened it third location in Pleasant Grove. Owner Sam Schultz is calling the new shop the Sammy's Pieshake Parlour because it looks and feels like an old-time ice cream parlor.

Sammy's, which opened its first shop in Provo in 2008, serves hamburgers and sandwiches, but it's most famous for its "real" pie shakes.

Shultz said a whole piece of pie is added to each shake before blending so customers can drink it through a straw. Flavors include coconut cream, mint Oreo and peach cobbler. As winter approaches, the pumpkin pie shake is popular.

Famous pie shakes are $4.29 for a whole or $2.99 for a half. Add extra pie for 75 cents.

While not quite as popular, cupcake shakes are another quirky item on the menu. Cupcake shakes are also $4.29 and are made with cupcakes from Simply Splendid Cupcakes.
