It's been pretty grim the last few weeks for local soccer fans. But the home team has a chance to win a trophy in Friday's Real Salt Lake at Colorado Rapids (8:30 p.m., ESPN2) matchup.

The Rocky Mountain Cup - symbolic of supremacy between the two teams - is up for grabs. After Colorado won it in 2005 and 2006, RSL has won four straight.

RSL won this season's first matchup between the two teams, a 1-0 victory back on April 13. A win or a tie on Friday and the Utah team retains the cup. After that, it gets more complicated with goal differential and home goals and away goals and all of that.

Suffice it to say that, Rocky Mountain Cup aside, Real Salt Lake could really use a win after losing four straight.
