Here's what's being talked about in pop culture:

• "King Arthur" is the first confirmed bomb of the summer movie season, taking in a woeful $14.7 million domestically — coming in third between "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" (with $63 million) and the Amy Schumer/Goldie Hawn comedy "Snatched" ($17.5 million). [Box Office Mojo]

• "The Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons has married his longtime boyfriend, designer Todd Spiewak. [People]

• Powers Boothe, a character actor known for his deep voice and a penchant for playing villains, has died at the age of 68. Boothe won an Emmy in 1980 for playing cult leader Jim Jones; more recently, he has played a corrupt senator in "Sin City," a president on "24," a ruthless saloonkeeper on "Deadwood," an industrialist on "Nashville," and a conspirator for Hydra on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
