Here's what's being talked about in pop culture:

• Heartthrob Zac Efron is going to put his charm to a particularly nasty role, to play serial killer Ted Bundy in an upcoming movie, "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile." Documentarian Joe Berlinger will direct the film, which is told from the standpoint of Bundy's longtime girlfriend. [The Hollywood Reporter]

• Queer-punk duo PWR BTTM is facing the fallout of sexual-assualt allegations agaisnt band member Ben Hopkins: The band has been dropped from its label, pulled from most streaming services, had several gigs cancelled, and may be cancelling its entire tour. [Vulture]
