Fans of "Back to the Future," "Doctor Who," "Star Trek," and the DC and Marvel universes will be satisfied by the celebrity list announced Wednesday for the">2017 Salt Lake Comic Con.

Fans of "Star Wars" will get their turn, too.

"We have booked a 'Star Wars' guest. He's a really big guest," Bryan Brandenburg, the event's co-founder, told a group of cheering cosplayers at the announcement event in the Utah Capitol. He said details would be coming.

Nine actors were announced Wednesday for the comic convention, slated for Sept. 21-23 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City. They join four actors previously announced.

Seven authors and a dozen comic creators and artists were also announced. Brandenburg said more celebrity appearances are being finalized.
