The USU administration had been seeking to move Utah State's basketball matchup against Seattle from Saturday December 17th to Friday December 16th to accomodate that football team's appearance in the Idaho Potato Bowl and to not make the fan base choose which game to go to.

That was unsuccessful, Scott Barnes told the Tribune on Thursday.

Costs, and time commitment on the part of both parties made the chance impossible, as Seattle would've been forced to eat a lot of money in travel.

So, what the Aggies will potentially see is an empty Spectrum a little over two weeks from now, as most of the fan base is expected to be in Boise with the football team.

"We tried, but it was short notice, and ultimately we couldn't make it happen," Barnes said.
