What's your Christmas-movie pleasure? A Red Ryder BB gun, or the Muppets?

The Salt Lake Film Society's annual "Wassail and Waffles" Christmas event happens Saturday morning at the Broadway Centre Cinemas, 111 E. 300 South, Salt Lake City.

The event starts at 10 a.m. with a waffle breakfast, and a visit from Santa Claus.

Then, at 11 a.m., participants can chooses between two movies — "A Muppet Christmas Carol" or "A Christmas Story."

The event is free to the public, but it traditionally fills up fast, so get there early.
