The Utes have announced that Tyler Shreve, a freshman quarterback who was redshirting this year, has left the school on 'good terms,' and has transferred to Riverside Community College to play baseball and football. We'll have reaction from practice today, but the transfer isn't much of a surprise. Shreve had more opportunities than any of the other backups to earn the No. 2 spot, but could never seem to make much headway. He probably realized he was doomed to ride the bench his whole career or maybe end up like other quarterbacks and play at another position. Seems he decided he'd rather have a different future.
