Wasatch Academy star Emmanuel Akot has decided to graduate early and join the University of Arizona men's basketball team for the 2017-18 season.

Akot tweeted his decision early Monday morning, and Wasatch Academy coach Curtis Condie confirmed the decision later in the day.

Akot averaged 16.5 points for the Tigers, who finished the season 24-5 and ranked No. 17 in USA Today's Super 25 Expert Rankings.

Akot was ranked No. 21 in the Class of 2018 as a five-star recruit by ESPN, while Scout.com had him No. 15 in the Class of 2018 before he decided to re-classify.
