As is generally the case between Christmas and New Year's, there's not a whole lot of new programming on TV. A little football, a little basketball, a couple of cable shows.

College football: Military Bowl - Air Force vs. Toledo (2:30 p.m., ESPN); Holiday Bowl - California vs. Texas (6 p.m. ESPN)

NBA (7 p.m., ROOT): Utah Jazz at Denver Nuggets

Hot in Cleveland (11 p.m., TV Land): Joy, Victoria and Melanie invite men to a dinner party.

The Exes (11:30 p.m., TV Land): Phil sleeps with Stuart's dental assistant, stirring up all kinds of trouble.
