Utah's gymnastics team lost one of its key coaching staff members on Tuesday, with the announcement assistant Meredith Paulicivic has been named the head coach at Ohio State.
Paulicivic, a former Utah gymnast, has spent the past two seasons as an assistant with Utah. Her focus was overhauling the choreography of Utah's floor routines as well as serving as one of the vault coaches.
The Utes finished fourth nationally on the floor in 2016 and 2017 while Tiffani Lewis won the 2016 floor title and was the Pac-12 vault co-champion in 2017 along with MyKayla Skinner. Skinner won the 2017 NCAA floor title, becoming Utah's first floor champion since 1992. A gymnast for the Utes from 1991-94, Paulicivic previously was an assistant at Arizona and was a coach at SCEGA Gymnastics from 2007-14.
