Herriman made the most buzz of the evening after senior Jaden Rasmussen launched a 3-pointer that beat the buzzer and knocked off Logan in a 56-55 thriller. Rasmussen talked to the media after the game:

Orem also had a big game, recording its first playoff win in six years by beating Woods Cross 57-47. The game was particularly meaningful to Tigers junior point guard Zach Hunsaker: It was the first time he was facing his old Wildcats team, who he helped get to the semifinals last year.

Hunsaker had a strong game, finishing with 13 points and nine assists. He talked about facing his old friends and coaches after the game with the Tribune:
