Ute divers to compete in zone event

Colorado Springs • The University of Utah diving team will participate in the NCAA Zone Championships Thursday through Saturday at the Air Force Academy.

The Utes will compete against 72 of the top divers in the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform dives.

Ellis Walters finished with a lifetime-best performances at the Pac-12 championship, finishing fourth in the 1-meter event.

Other top divers include Jasmine Matkovic, Nelson Foo and Brandon Stoppelmoor.

Next week, Tracie Swartz will compete in the NCAA women's championships in Auburn, Ala.
