Weber State and Utah State will host games in the Collegeinsider.com Postseason Tournament this week.

The Wildcats, who were defeated in the Big Sky title game, accepted a CIT bid Sunday after they surprisingly didn't get a bid to the National Invitation Tournament. They will host Utah Valley at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The Aggies, bounced in the first round of the WAC tournament, will host Cal State Bakersfield at the Spectrum on Wednesday night.

When Weber State hosts Utah Valley, it will match one team that harbored NCAA Tournament dreams against a school happy to be competing in its first-ever postseason basketball tournament.

Weber State (24-6), featuring the nation's second-leading scorer in Damian Lillard (24.5 points), finished second in the Big Sky Conference regular season as well as the conference tournament. The Wildcats lost to Montana in the championship game, 85-66.

Utah Valley (20-12), the regular-season champion of the Great West Conference, lost to NJIT in the conference tournament semifinals. This is the Wolverines' first appearance in any kind of college basketball postseason since becoming a Division I school four years ago. They are led by Isiah Williams' 16.1 scoring average.

Utah State went 17-15 during the season. The Aggies finished fourth in the WAC and have had their streak of three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances snapped.

The CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament was established in 2009.
