In Utah State's first morning practice in the cold and mist, Gary Andersen came away quite pleased with the effort and focus that his team displayed.
It's obvious to Andersen that his troops are beginning to understand what's expected of them in spring football practice. He said as much afterwards, praising his players for coming in prepared.
"I think this was our beat practice of the spring so far," Andersen said. "I'm happy with our play today."
Andersen said the offense was crisp, while the defense proved unyielding, not an easy feat. A week after roasting the defensive line, he praised them for their effective play. The Aggies were done at eight a.m., and the feeling around the staff is that much was accomplished during practice time.
Andersen said that he expects this every day for the next three weeks leading up to the spring game. He praised Bojay Filimoeatu for his effective play at outside linebacker/defensive end.
