The Utah Symphony Chorus will be holding auditions for the 2012-2013 Utah Symphony season on May 16. The Utah Symphony Chorus, directed by Susanne Sheston, is a volunteer chorus that performs the masterworks of the symphonic choral repertoire with the Utah Symphony, led by Music Director Thierry Fischer and other guest conductors. The Utah Symphony repertoire for 2012-2013 includes Mendelssohn's Lobgesang and Schoenberg's Peace on Earth, as well as pops programming. Applicants should contact Shaun Ricks at 801-869-9050 or at sricks@usuo.org to request an audition.

The audition consists of vocalizing, sight-reading, and singing My Country Tis of Thee. A limited number of paid section leader positions are available for all sections.

Section leaders receive an honorarium for participation in each concert. Applicants for section leader should prepare an aria or art song for the audition.
