Here's what's happening today in pop culture:

• Facebook's IPO launches today - which brings up a joke I saw on Facebook this morning: "Why is Facebook going public? They couldn't figure out the privacy settings, either." [CNN]

• Having re-edited "Blade Runner" more times than people can count, Ridley Scott is finally hatching plans for a sequel - and is talking with the film's original writer, Hampton Fancher. [The Hollywood Reporter]

• Donna Summer, the "Queen of Disco," died Thursday at the age of 63, after battling cancer. [Los Angeles Times]
