Hans Olsen has landed a new job. He's moving to ESPN 700 as the co-host of that station's afternoon show.
John Kimball, the senior vice president of business operations for Real Salt Lake and general manager of ESPN 700, confirmed that Olsen will join Bill Riley on the 2-6 p.m. weekday show. His first appearance is tentatively scheduled for Monday, June 4.
"We feel very confident he'll do a great job," Kimball said. "And while we're the home of the University of Utah, we want to embrace all sports. As a former BYU [football] player, Hans can help us do that."Olsen has been co-hosting the morning show on KZNS 1280-AM and 97.5 FM (aka The Zone). But with the Utah Jazz purchasing those stations, the morning team of David James and Patrick Kinahan is switching to The Zone from KFNZ AM-1320 (aka KFAN).
