Nearly a week after he disappeared beneath the waves of Lake Powell, the search continued Thursday for a 26-year-old swimmer.

National Park Service spokesman Denise Schultz said searchers on shore and in boats were looking in the southern Utah lake's Warm Creek Bay area, where 26-year-old Colby Roman, of Scottsdale, Ariz., slipped beneath the surface the afternoon of May 25.

Roman was swimming near a houseboat when high winds pushed the boat away from him and another swimmer.

Three people who were on the houseboat were able to rescue one of the swimmers, but Roman could not be found.
