Hypothermia killed a man found dead in March near some railroad tracks, North Salt Lake police said Tuesday.

Brandon Taylor, 27, was found March 18 near 1800 North and Beck Street. North Salt Lake police Lt. Troy Johnson on Tuesday said the medical examiner determined the cause of death.

Johnson said police don't know why Taylor was in that area but he had a history of mental health and drug problems.

Taylor's naked body was covered in mud, police have said.
