Sure, it's been hot. But Cottonwood Heights police say that's still no reason to skinny dip in the middle of the night at a closed swimming pool.
Cottonwood Heights police Sgt. Gary Young said alcohol may have been the decisive factor, however, in a couple's decision to ignore "No Trespassing" signs and scale a fence early Tuesday morning to plunge into the closed pool at Crestwood Park, about 1600 East and 7300 South.
Police routinely patrol the park due to past trespassing incidents, but usually the offenders are at least partially clothed. Just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, however, an officer investigating a suspicious vehicle found parked near the pool caught the offenders in wet and in the buff.
