Firefighters quickly doused a field fire in northwest Salt Lake City early Thursday morning.

Salt Lake City Fire Department spokesman Jasen Asay said the cause of the 4:20 a.m. blaze near 150 N. Redwood Road remained undetermined, though it was near a transient camp. About three acres burned.

No injuries were reported and no property damage occurred, though flames at one point burned within 20 feet of homes.

Five firefighters responded to the scene.
