It's no secret the offensive line is Utah's biggest concern going into the 2012 season. Freshmen Kala Friel, Siaosi Aiono, Daniel Nielson and junior college transfer Carlos Lozano are among those competing for playing time. With his college experience, Lozano might seem the most logical candidate, but the 6-foot-6, 385-pound junior still has some weight to drop. He has lost 25 pounds but needs to lose more to play the tempo the Utes want. A little more to size is Friel, a 6-4, 305-pound lineman out of Kaneohe, Hawaii who is listed as the backup to Percy Taumoelau at left tackle. Here is some video of Utah coach Kyle Whittingham discussing the Friel and Lozano on Friday.
