Plans for tonight: Japanese drums

• Kenshin Taiko Drums, a Salt Lake City group that performs Japanese-style taiko drumming, marks the anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing at tonight's "Mondays in the Park" at the Chase Home, Liberty Park, 600 E. 1100 South, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 7. Free.

• Reggae star Sister Carol performs at Bar Deluxe, 666 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Opening act: To be determined. Show starts at 9. Tickets are $15, at Smith's Tix and 24Tix.

• An outdoor screening of the 1971 thriller "The Andromeda Strain" happens at Gallivan Center, 239 S. Main St., Salt Lake City. Show starts at 9. Free; presented by the Utah Film Center.
