In celebration of the new Discovery Season Pass Program Snowbasin is teaming up with the Mt Ogden 100k Bike Festival and having a launch party and concert featuring 3-time Grammy award winner and internationally recognized saxophonist Jeff Coffin of the Dave Matthews Band with the Mu'tet on Saturday, Aug. 18.

The Mu'tet features an all-star group of musicians – Felix Pastorius (bassist player for the Grammy winning Yellowjackets & the son of bass legend Jaco Pastorius) on electric bass, Bill Fanning on trumpet/space trumpet, Mu'tet veteran and New Orleans native Chris Walters (JD Souther) on keys, and very special guest Roy "Futureman" Wooten (of Bela Fleck & the Flecktones) on drums. The band is currently performing CD release shows across the US in support of their new CD "Into The Air."

Snowbasin will also keep its season pass desk in Earl's Lodge open during the concert for people interested in purchasing their season passes. Coffin and his band will be performing behind Earl's Base Lodge starting at 7 p.m. with the season pass desk open from 9 a.m. til 9 p.m. that evening. With celebrating both the Mt Ogden 100k and the Discovery Season Pass, Snowbasin will be charging $25 a carload to the Launch Party and 100k Festival Concert.
