Plans for tonight: A different 'Romeo'

• New World Shakespeare Company's modern production of "Romeo and Juliet," which casts both of the star-crossed lovers as women, starts a four-night run at the Historic Murray Theatre, 4961 S. State St., Murray. Show starts tonight at 7:30 (and repeats at the same time Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with a 2 p.m. Saturday matinee). Tickets are $10, at ArtTix.

• Hardcore-folk band Murder By Death performs at Bar Deluxe, 666 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Ha Ha Tonka, 4OnTheFloor. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $15, at 24Tix.
