Hurricane could cancel/postpone convention. Polygamists turned off by Romney. 75 days to the election.

Happy Thursday. Tropical Storm Isaac, now churning in the Caribbean, could strengthen and turn into Hurricane Isaac with a projected path straight toward Tampa, Fla., and the Republican National Convention. The Tampa mayor says that the storm could cause the gathering to be postponed or canceled. "Obviously public safety is going to trump politics," Bob Buckhorn told CNN. "If we had to make that decision to cancel or to postpone or move the convention, we will do that knowing full well that my obligation and the city's obligation is to move people out of harm's way. The politics will take care of itself." [Politico]
