One new restaurant has opened at Station Park and another upscale eatery is set to open soon near the Cinemark Theater in Farmington.

The opening of ParkStone Wood Kitchen earlier this month and the debut of Sushi Monster in early September at the popular open-air shopping and entrainment center will bring to eight the number of sit-down and quick-serve restaurant options. Station Park also features a Harmons Grocery Store, which serves sandwiches and other foods.

"Both restaurants are open later, so those who go out for a late-evening movie or to attend our new free Rock the Park concerts on Friday nights can enjoy a bite afterward, " said Debby LaMotte, the mall general manager.

ParkStone Wood Kitchen offers steaks, wood-fired pizzas, soup and salads. In cooler weather, patio dining will be enhanced by a built-in fireplace. The restaurant also provides a prime vantage point to see Station Park's new show fountain and garden area.

ParkStone features four large-screen TVs and "offers more than 30 draft beers and 20 bottled beer options," said Brad Nelson, restaurant general manager. "We're very pleased to open in Station Park and be able to offer one of the largest selections of ales in Davis County."

This is the first Parkstone Wood Kitchen location for restaurateur Allan B. Gantes. The eatery is open from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Sushi Monster will be opening its second Utah location. The owner of the Japanese food restaurant plans to offer new menu items, including lobster and giant clam sashimi at Station Park, and seating for about 100 people.

"We will offer a large selection of sushi and Japanese cuisine from our kitchen, all presented in the beautiful way that Sushi Monster is known for," said owner Ling Wu.

The Farmington Sushi Monster will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday. The other Sushi Monster is in West Valley City, at 3567 Constitution Blvd.

Station Park is at the intersection of Interstate 15, Highway 89 and Legacy Parkway, and the Front Runner Commuter Train in Farmington.

Developer CenterCal Properties has opened 400,000 square feet of retail space on the site since August 2011, and is constructing an additional 500,000 square feet in the Village Center.
