BYU football coach Bronco Mendenhall spoke to reporters after Monday's practice about the Cougars' readiness for Thursday's opener against Washington State.

The Cougars released their depth chart on Monday afternoon, so Mendenhall discussed different personnel situations. He also talked about the controversial transfer of defensive back Michael Wadsworth from Hawaii.

Mendenhall said BYU never recruited or contacted Wadsworth while he was on his mission.
