On the heels of Mia Love's big GOP convention speech, a Democratic super PAC is slamming her in a new TV ad, highlighting the tax increases she has overseen as a city council member and mayor of Saratoga Springs.Love has argued the tax hikes were a necessary result of the rapid population growth in the once tiny Utah County locale and has defended her fiscal oversight. But the ad from House Majority PAC doesn't delve in nuances, it goes after the hard numbers on the increases in an attempt to discredit Love as a fiscal hawk. The House Majority PAC is just one of a number of outside groups supporting Rep. Jim Matheson, D-Utah, in his quest for a seventh term and it is the first to go after his opponent.— Matt CanhamTwitter: @mattcanham
