I am a Vietnam veteran and thank the numerous companies (Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.) that honor veterans 365 days a year with generous discounts.

There are companies that honor veterans only at certain times of the week and year. Walgreens offers discounts only on Mondays, and Snowbasin and Snowbird honor a veteran's discounts just in winter.

These companies have been misled. The enemy didn't stop killing my buddies on Mondays, nor did it stop fighting in summer.

I thank the people and companies that appreciate the sacrifice a soldier gives 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
