Re "Mitt's moment: Romney makes the case for himself" (Our View, Aug. 31):

Please stop referring to former Gov. Mitt Romney as "Mitt" in headlines. The Tribune never refers to President Barack Obama as "Barack" in headlines.

We obviously do not need to wait for the paper's formal endorsement to know that The Tribune backs Romney, but there are professional standards. If The Tribune wants to be taken seriously, the standards must be observed.

The Tribune seems to be turning into a high school newspaper, cheerleading for the home team, even though Romney is from Michigan, not Utah.
