It's time to say goodbye

I'd like to say thank you and goodbye to everyone who has read this blog for the past four years.

As the One Cheap Chick blogger, I've worked to bring readers of The Salt Lake Tribune valuable personal-finance information and money-saving deals. It's been a fun (and challenging) addition to my responsibilities as a real estate and personal finance reporter and columnist.

After more than 15 years, I'm leaving the newspaper to embark on a new challenge, working for Utah social media marketing company Social5.

Rest assured, The Tribune remains committed to personal finance and soon will hire another reporter to cover this beat and write a frugal-living blog and column.

Thanks to all of you who've read this blog, commented on my posts, submitted ideas and cheered me on. I couldn't have done it without all of you.

A big thank you also goes out to Utah's frugal bloggers. You welcomed me into your community and helped me figure out the world of blogging and how to find the best deals.

Be frugal, my friends!
