Here's some highlights from last week's slew of great prep performances.

• Football - Quinn Ringer, Orem: The running back and receiver had a tremendous performance with only a few touches for the Tigers. He was the go-to throwing target for quarterback Taylor Camp in the end zone, catching three touchdown passes to go with 103 yards on four catches. Ringer did some work on the ground as well, rushing nine times for 57 yards and a score. Orem has now won its last three games, but it will have a big stretch ahead with road games against Springville and Timpview.

• Soccer - Abi Black, Taylorsville: The senior forward leads Class 5A in scoring, and she continued her run last week. Against West, Black notched a hat trick that gave the Warriors a 4-1 win. In an overtime game against Hunter, Taylorsville prevailed 3-2 with a pair of goals from its star player. Black now has 22 goals this season, and she's helping guide the Warriors to a playoff berth in Region 2.

• Volleyball - Sydney Schafer, Judge Memorial: The senior has led the Bulldogs all year to a surprising 21-2 record. A hitting machine, Schafer was key for Judge during a run through this weekend's High Flying Falcon Open at Clearfield. The team went 9-0 in the tournament, and now the Bulldogs are on everyone's radar. Region 10, watch out.
