The No. 16 BYU women's volleyball team defeated Gonzaga on Saturday in Provo, recording its eighth straight sweep and remaining undefeated this season.

Alexa Gray had 12 kills, and Jennifer Hamson added 11 as the Cougars beat the Bulldogs 25-17, 25-7, 25-14 in the West Coast Conference match.

Heather Hannemann had 35 assists and Kathryn Lecheminant notched seven blocks for BYU (14-0, 2-0).

Gonzaga falls to 8-7 and 0-2.

Idaho 3, Utah State 0 • In Logan, the Vandals snapped the Aggies' three-match winning streak, beating USU 25-14, 25-15, 25-22. Shay Sorensen led USU (8-5, 3-1 WAC) with eight kills.

Ashley Christman had 13 kills for Idaho (4-10, 2-2).

Southern Utah 3, Sacramento State 1 • In Cedar City, the Thunderbirds beat the Hornets 25-15, 19-25, 25-22, 25-20 for SUU's first home victory in the Big Sky Conference in any sport. Analaine Mailoto led the T-birds (6-8, 2-1) with 18 kills and added 17 digs.

Northern Colorado 3, Weber State 0 • In Ogden, freshman setter Whitney Hunt had a career-high 17 assists for Weber State, but the Wildcats lost 25-17, 25-16, 28-26.

Westminster 3, Montana State-Northern 0 • Alexis Aalona had 13 kills, and Ashley Marchant added 11 as the host Griffins won the Frontier Conference match 25-20, 23-20, 25-21.

College of Southern Idaho 3, SLCC 2 • In Twin Falls, Idaho, Salt Lake Community College's Maddie Bushman had 16 kills, but the Bruins squandered a two-set lead and lost 23-25, 19-25, 25-18, 25-15, 15-13.

Women's soccer

Westminster 3, Evergreen 2 (2OT) • In Olympia, Wash., Justine Jones scored two goals, and Jaime Nelson scored the game-winner as the Griffins (9-1) overcame a 2-0 halftime deficit to beat the Geoducks. After a scoreless first overtime, Margo Hickman made a pass from the right side in the 105th minute, and Nelson scored on a header for the win.

Men's tennis

In Ogden, Utah State's Sven Poslusny won the "A" singles bracket in the Weber State Fall Invitational by beating Weber State's Todd Fought 6-1, 4-6, 6-4.

Weber State's Ryan Garner won the "B" singles bracket, beating Idaho State's Austin Miller 7-5, 6-1 in the final.

Women's tennis

In Provo, Wyoming's Symona Synkova won the women's singles title at the BYU Invitational, beating Utah State's McKenzie Davis 6-2, 7-5.

Synkova also teamed with Veronica Popovici to win the doubles title, as they beat BYU's Desiree Tran and Meghan Sheehan-Dizon 8-3.
