Video Game • Members of the National Rifle Association would love "Borderlands 2" (PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), a saucy, ultraviolent first-person shooter where the love of guns reigns. You're an antihero charged with saving a flying postapocalyptic city from a devilish ruler.

Like its predecessor, it is a stylized, cartoonish game with hundreds of variations in weapons to discover, from handguns that spit out bullets with corrosive acid to bazookas that fire flaming shells. The game play, especially the driving mechanics, has been refined, and the missions are varied, funny and imaginative.

Best of all, it's packaged in a hilarious story packed with outrageous characters. The result is one of the most satisfying video games this year.
