Topping the news: The Utah Republican Party says more people in the state are now registered as Republicans than unaffiliated, a category that has led for years but now seems to be waning a move attributable, we're guessing, Romney on the ballot as well as the closed-GOP primary that requires voters to join to participate. According to the state party, there are now 575,401 registered Republicans in the state to 510,417 unaffiliated; there are 108,645 registered Democrats.
