SLC band American Hitmen hoping to win nation-wide Battle of Bands

The Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival wrapped its third year September 30, boasting nearly 300,000 in total attendance for the 30-city U.S. trek.

With a lineup that featured Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, and P.O.D., along with Adelitas Way, Deuce, Fozzy, Redlight King, Mindset Evolution, In This Moment, Thousand Foot Krutch, Candlelight Red, the tour also featured a local Battle Of The Bands in each city.

While the tour may be over, the 2012 Ernie Ball Battle Of The Bands powered by Imagen Records continues as the 28 local market finalists are in the running for the Grand Prize package which includes a coveted spot on the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival, the opportunity to record an EP with legendary producer Jay Baumgardner at NRG Recording Studios in Hollywood, CA, $10,000 worth of music gear and other prizes. The winner of the competition will be chosen at the end of the month, as they are being evaluated through October 30 by a panel of music industry professionals and artists including: Jose Mangin from Sirius XM, Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance, legendary producer/mixer Jay Baumgardner, and music industry veteran Bill McGathy.
