Working on a feature story on freshman quarterback Travis Wilson that will run in tomorrow's paper. One thing that both Wilson and his mother, JoMarie, mentioned was how much support Wilson has received from the other quarterbacks. Wilson said former quarterback Jordan Wynn has been instrumental in his development by helping him learn the offense. "He and (offensive coordinator) Brian Johnson have helped me get a lot better," he said. "I thought I'd have to wait my turn behind Jordan and it's unfortunate what happened to him but I'm really thankful for the opportunity to play." Wynn said his best advice to Wilson was to just "go have fun." Wilson's mother offered two moments that stuck with her. The first was when she dropped Wilson off the first day at Utah when summer workouts were starting. "Jordan called him right away and said, 'Let's go watch film this weekend," she said. "That is how it has been. Jordan, Jon and Adam (Schulz) have been amazing with him." Wilson's mother noticed it was Hays who accompanied Wilson off the field after the loss to UCLA. "He has been great with him," she said of Hays. "I asked Travis how Jon was and he said he was bummed because he wants to play but he is still learning from Jon and knows he has to keep learning. Travis is starting this weekend, but who is to say the following weekend it won't be Jon? They've all been great with him." - Lya Wodraska
