Afterwards, he was aked whether his post game could translate from high school to college.
"Of course" was the answer.
At least in a practice setting, the 6-foot-7 Loveridge showed that him being undersized for a power forward would not be a hinderance. He looked comfortable in Wednesday's practice, and scored with ease on many trips up the floor.
Loveridge has long arms, touch and the ability to create space. It was his calling card in high school. He doesn't seem to have an issue with getting his own shot in the early stages of official practice.
"He looks comfortable out there," Utes coach Larry Krystkowiak said. "We're running some stuff designed to get the big men touches in the paint. We feel that we have guys who can score a little bit."
