Gusty winds, rain and snow pelted northern Utah on Tuesday, and more of the same was expected for Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.
Forecasters warned of gusts topping 60 mph along the Wasatch Front, ushering in valley rains and at elevations of around 6,000 feet and above, snow. Indeed, the NWS issued a Winter Weather Advisory along the mountainous spine of northern Utah through Thursday afternoon.
The affected area will stretch from Logan and Brigham City south through Ogden, Salt Lake City, Park City and Provo to Nephi, and into the western Uinta Mountains as well. Snow was predicted to fall in depths of 2 to 7 inches along the peaks and high slopes, forecasters said.
