Giving back at the shack • The Children's Justice Center of Salt Lake County and Joe's Crab Shack is joining forces for its annual "Give Back Night" to raise funds for child victims of crime. The fundraiser will be held in Sandy and West Jordan on Thursday and Friday, November 15-16th from 11 a.m. to midnight. The restaurants are at West Jordan's location at 7277 Plaza Center Dr., and in Sandy at 65 East 9400 South.


Trot like a turkey • Sign up for the Turkey Trot 5K to be held Nov. 3 at 9 a.m. The registration deadline is Oct. 31, but participants can late-register in person also. The race will be at Lone Peak Park at 10140 S. 700 East. Cost is $16 per person and $10 per family member. Visit Sandy.utah.gov to register.
