Hang on to that cell phone. And if you can't, hope two federal agents are nearby.

Salt Lake City police say a woman was waiting for a bus near 200 East and South Temple when an 18-year-old man demanded to use her cell phone.

When the woman refused, he grabbed it from her hand and ran south on 200 East — and right into the arms of two federal Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents who just happened to have witnessed the theft.

The agents detained the suspect, a New Mexico man, until police officer arrived.

The phone was recovered and returned to the woman, and the suspect was behind bars Wednesday, having been booked into Salt Lake County Jail on suspicion of second-degree felony robbery.
